Actress and animal lover Nicola Peltz Beckham, 28, took a moment to share a pet safety reminder on her Instagram story ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
Beckham shared a post from the shelter she launched in Los Angeles, Yogi's House, with a list of pet safety reminders for the Fourth of July.
That read: "1. Be sure your pet is wearing an up-to-date and visible ID tag on their collar at all times!!! 2. Take a current photo of your pet. Just in case!!! 3. Exercise (if needed) your pet early in the day before all parties begin!!!
"4. During cookouts, ask guests to play with pets away from flames or smoke!!! 5. Keep pet treats on hand for those who want to give your pet food!!! 6. Keep charcoal, fireworks, poppers, sparklers, & glow sticks far away from pets!!! 7. Leave your pets home indoors with a treat, toys, and a TV or calm music on during the fireworks!!!"

But not only is Beckham a successful actress, she is also an animal rights advocate out to make a difference.
In November of 2022, the star co-founded Yogi's House in Los Angeles, a female-owned shelter that works to save dogs that are found on the 'red list' meaning they are soon at risk of being put down.
According to their website, Yogi's House was launched by Beckham, Alex Schack, and Emma Kenney who are all committed to "banning kill shelters, saving dogs from euthanasia, and finding them permanent homes." The shelter works with BestieK9 and Pups Without Borders working to support and save dogs as many animals as possible.
Their shelter's instagram @itsyogihouse has already received support from the Los Angeles community with over 33,600 followers. When visiting the page, visitors can see countless photos of dogs in need of adoption. Each post shared includes photos all of the current dogs up for adoption and looking for new homes with their names below.
Beckham and her trio are working to save helpless dogs, with hundreds of success stories featured on their website from 2022 and 2023.
