Fitness coach Joe Wicks opened up about the reason he decided to homeschool his daughter India.

The media personality and his wife Rosie Jones wanted them and his children India, four, Marley, three, and baby Leni, ten months, to spend 'more time' together as a family.

Joe, 37, recently took part in a Q&A session with his fans on Instagram, with one curious user questioning him about his daughter.

The person asked: "What's been the deciding factor(s) for homeschooling?"

He shared a photo of his daughter smiling as she showed off her drawing of a rainbow and a star.

"There's really nothing more to the decision than we just love being together as a family and want to spend more with the kids while we can," he said.

"She had a great year in reception but we have always loved teaching the kids at home and want the freedom to travel more and explore the world."

He concluded: "She might go to school next year. We have no idea long term but want to do at least a year of home educating."

Joe previously opened up about feeling "frustrated and stressed" as he adapted to being a father of three.

The fitness guru welcomed baby Leni in September with his wife Rosie.

“I’m used to getting eight hours. When I wake up and I’ve been woken up three or four times it really breaks your sleep,” the star told New magazine.

Explaining how he copes, Joe said: “I’m tired, I’m frustrated, I’m stressed when I wake up. My instant reaction is to move my body, to release it.”

Proving he’s just like the rest of us in the morning, he added: “I don’t want to be on Instagram stories, I don’t want to be Mr Motivator. I just want to have a big bowl of cereal, watch TV and go to bed, but I’m having to resist that.”

The fitness coach and his wife are still hoping to have a total of six children in the future.

Rosie gave birth to baby Leni in a birthing pool at their £4 million Surrey home on September 8.

Sharing a cute first photo of the tot, proud dad Joe wrote on Instagram: "It's a girl. Rosie gave birth at 4.32am this morning at home to an 8lb healthy baby in the birthing pool. Thank you to Emily & Helen our wonderful midwives who were there every step of the way.”

He added: “Time to rest now. Lots of love the Wicks family.”
