She explains: “With Kairo we were in Lockdown so you couldn’t have a water birth. You couldn’t have any birth partners until you went into active labour and then you could only have one instead of two.
“I also couldn’t save my placenta last time due to the covid rules. So this time I am having my placenta encapsulated by The Placenta Cabin, which I cannot wait to do.
Stacey Solomon says her life a 'mess' as she makes New Year's resolution“This time feels a lot more at ease with less anxiety probably because you have more birthing options and my pregnancy this time has been a lot less stressful.”
Lauryn is hoping she was will be able to have a water birth because she thinks it will be more relaxing, but knows that anything could happen on the day.
She tells us: “That you can’t plan for every eventuality. You just have to go with it.”
As well as having her child in the water, Lauryn has made it clear what pain relief she wants in her birth plan.
“I’ve popped in my plan to have gas and air,” she says. “But it all depends on how the birth progresses. I feel as though you can never have a solid plan and you have to be open to all options.”
And she is also determined to have a delayed cord clamping, which means the baby’s umbilical cord isn’t cut straight away.
She says: “I have already organised to have the stem cells banked with smart cells. It's something I wasn’t aware of when I was pregnant with Kairo. After lots of research I am so thrilled I found Smart Cells.
“I am saving the blood from the placenta and the chord tissue and having this stored just in case it is ever needed for the future. It has lots of medical benefits should something ever happen and it can also help the siblings.
“I highly recommend if people haven’t heard of it to check them out because it’s something that was very easy for me to organise and I’m glad I was informed about this.”
Lauryn, the sister of reality TV star Chloe Goodman, has already made plans to help Kairo transition to be a big brother.
