RENOWNED singer-songwriter CoCo Lee has died at the age of 48, her sisters announced on social media.

Did CoCo Lee have children?
CoCo Lee did not have any biological children, but was stepmother to her husband Bruce Rockowitz's two adult daughters.
In 2018, Coco admitted that she had been undergoing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) so she could have a baby.
When asked how many children she would want to have, she said that she and her husband hope to have two.

However, she added: "A child is a gift from God. Even if it fails, it would not matter."
Who was CoCo Lee?
CoCo Lee was a Chinese-American singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actress.
In 1998, she was hired to sing the song Reflection for the Disney adaptation of the Chinese folktale Mulan.
The success of the movie and the song helped her reach international fame.
She went on to sell tens of millions of Chinese and English albums.
CoCo performed her song A Love Before Time from the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon at the Oscars in 2001.
The song was nominated for Best Original Song.
On July 5, 2023, it was revealed that Coco had died at the age of 48 after taking her own life at home, her family announced.
Her sisters broke the tragic news on social media and said that she had a long battle with depression in recent years.
“With great sadness, we are here break the most devastating news: CoCo had been suffering from depression for a few years but her condition deteriorated drastically over the last few months,” her elder sisters Carol and Nancy Lee wrote on Instagram.

“Although CoCo sought professional help and did her best to fight depression, sadly that demon inside of her took the better of her.”
They added: “Despite the best efforts of the hospital team to rescue and treat her from her coma, she finally passed away on July 5, 2023.”
Who is CoCo Lee's husband Bruce Rockowitz?
Bruce Rockowitz is a Canadian businessman based in Hong Kong.
He is the chairman of Rock Media International and co-founder of the Pure Group.
Rockowitz and Lee got married in 2011 in a lavish wedding that featured performances by Bruno Mars and the Black Eyed Peas.
