Where was Hotel Portofino filmed?
Croatia
Despite the show being called Hotel Portofino, the idyllic series was mostly filmed in Croatia.
The interior shots of the hotel were actually filmed in a villa built in 1904 on the Lungomare promenade, which is found in the Opatija area.
The crew also filmed in the Croatian town of Zagreb.

Locations used included the National Stateroom (HAZU) and the Croatian Institute of History in the Upper Town, as well as the Museum of Arts and Crafts.
Speaking about the location, series producer Sarah Forbes Campbell told goodto.com: "The experience of working with a Croatian crew has been an incredibly positive one, it's been absolutely fabulous and joyous.
"I often work abroad and I enjoy living and working with local people.
"The Croatian crew is incredibly accommodating and collaborative, and the entire process of filming in Croatia has been a very creative one.
"Working with Ivan, our production designer, has been a joy. The designs he's come up with, he's been creatively fabulous.
"The locations that have been offered by the location manager Tomislav Peleski have been spot on, in terms of what we require."
Portofino
Fear not, the show is also filmed in actual Portofino.
But Italian town played a minor role when it came to shooting the series.
However, some of the backdrop shots and scenery were filmed in Portofino.

Hotel Portofino is set in 1926 in Portofino, which can be found on the stunning Italian Riviera.

The show follows British family the Ainsworths, who run the hotel, after moving to Italy following the end of the First World War.
The Crown star Natascha McElhone, and Four Weddings And Funeral's Anna Chancellor lead the cast.
