After an extended break Formula One is back this weekend.

Max Verstappen currently tops the standings after clinching victory at the last four races and many race fans won't bet against him sealing top spot once more at the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. The F1 calendar for 2023 has so far featured a record 24 races but it hasn't been without its disruptions.

The first grand prix of the 2023 F1 season took place in Bahrain on March 5 and the final round is due to take place in Abu Dhabi on November 26, however so far the season has witnessed the Chinese GP dropped from the schedule due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions while the Emilia-Romagna GP in Imola was called off late on due to catastrophic flooding in the region.

July will feature a host of races before August will just see one take place later on in that month as the traditional summer break is honoured.
