The BBC show is based on Chloe’s autobiography and follows her as a 20-year-old model in 2017 travelling from her South London home to Italy, supposedly for a shoot.

However, on arrival Chloe, now 26, was snatched by masked men, drugged, handcuffed, stuffed inside a bag and held captive for six days in a remote farmhouse.

She had been lured to Milan with fake promises of a lucrative photoshoot but a group calling itself The Black Death Gang demanded £250,000 and threatened to auction her on the dark web as a sex slave.

She was rescued by cops.

Killing Eve writer Georgia Lester is behind the six-part factual drama Kidnapped, due to be screened later this year.

Nadia who starred as Annalise in Netflix drama The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, said: “This is a timely and important story about how we perceive trauma.

“I feel honoured to be playing Chloe and to be a part of this adaptation for the BBC.”

Meanwhile Adrian Edmondson, 66, was also pictured on set.

In 2018 Polish brothers Lukasz and Michal Herba were convicted in a Milan court of kidnapping Chloe.

Lukasz, 31, was jailed for 16 years and nine months and Michal, 37, got 16 years and five months.

Both had their sentences drastically reduced on appeal.
