MANCHESTER UNITED hero Phil Jones is holding talks with Greek outfit Aris following his Old Trafford exit.
Jones left United last month when his contract expired following 12 years at the club and has since been a free agent.
According to Gazzetta, the centre-back is now being targeted by Aris who consider him their top target to strengthen Apostolos Terzis' defence.
The Salonika giants have already started negotiations with the former England international's camp.
Talks initially hit a snag as Aris' offer fell below the 31-year-old's salary demands.

However, the Greeks are not giving up on their pursuit to land the former Blackburn star.
Aris have signed a number of former Premier League players in recent years, such as Andre Gray, Gervinho and Aboubakar Kamara.
They were even coached by former Southampton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew for five months until his sudden dismissal last season.
Aris also considered having Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere over at Kleanthis Vikelidis shortly before he joined AGF last year.
Jones was quickly established as a key player at United upon his £16.5million arrival from Blackburn in 2011.
So much so that legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson predicted he would be "phenomenal" as well as one of the club's "best ever players".
The versatile defender amassed a total of six goals and 10 assists in 229 appearances.
However, he has been plagued by injuries in recent years and managed just five appearances since the start of the 2020/2021 season.

Jones announced he will be leaving Old Trafford in May and was awarded with a framed memento.
Former team-mate and current United technical director Darren Fletcher presented him with one of his shirts from the Red Devils' most recent Premier League triumph in 2013.
It was framed neatly with some pictures of his career highlights, which also include an FA Cup Trophy, Europa League title and two Community Shield honours.
