This is the moment that a motoring festival got off to a dramatic start - for all the wrong reasons.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates the best of motorsport, but it didn’t go too well for the driver of a special one-off racer from Hyundai.
Set in beautiful parkland in the grounds of Goodwood House in Chichester, West Sussex, the festival has been going for 30 years.
It was founded by the Duke of Richmond who wanted to bring motor racing back to his Goodwood estate.
The famous hill climb event is open to a variety of cars and bikes and covers a 1,890-metre, nine-turn track - with 92 metres of elevation.

The Korean firm’s Hyundai RN22e concept car crashed into a stack of hay bales on the opening day, with the driver losing control as he approached a notoriously difficult hard-left turn.
The video shows the prototype shooting off the start line to begin its lap time in front of the watching crowds.
With around 577bhp from its dual-electric motors, the all-wheel drive RN22e has a claimed top speed of 155mph - and the driver was clearly in the mood to show off its power.
As he approaches the left turn you can see the car struggling to rein in the speed, and instead it goes straight ahead - smashing into the safety barrier.
Fortunately, both the driver and passenger managed to climb out of the wrecked car, seemingly unscathed.
Hyundai is yet to comment on the incident, or if the car will be rebuilt for further demonstration use.
It says the car was designed to show the “possibility of a high-performance EV model in the future,” while the RN22e concept is expected to morph into the final production Hyundai Ioniq 6 N.
Unfortunately, due to the high winds forecast for Saturday, 15th July, the decision has been taken to close the event, with the intention being to reopen on Sunday 16th July for the festival's final day.
