Katherine Jenkins looked out of this world as she rocked a black swimsuit while taking a dip at a picturesque lake.

The mezzo-soprano singer, 43, took to Instagram to share a short clip of her swimming activities at Lake Wörthersee in Austria on Wednesday morning.

Ahead of her performance, she took time to unwind by swimming in the lake and filming a little sashay as she walked down the docks towards the camera.

"Please can I start every show day like this?," she captioned the post as she posted it to her social media feed.

In the video, she lowered herself into the lake and took a quick lap before the clip cut to Katherine smiling and walking on the dock.

Katherine added a pair of thick-rimmed glasses as she protected herself from the early morning sun.

Over the video, she added Disney's Part Of This World from The Little Mermaid. Fans rushed to the comment section to compliment the section, with one writing: "Perfect way to set up your day. Have a good show!"

"You look amazing kath," one user posted while another added: "Looks great Katherine xxx."

Katherine is best known as a classical singer. The star grew up on a council estate in Neath, south Wales.

When she was young, a teacher encouraged her to apply to London's Royal Academy of Music.

Thanks to her ethereal voice, she later signed to Universal Records for a six-album deal.

Viewers might remember her due to her performance at the Queen's 90th birthday, the Olympics as well as the Euros in 2016.

After the late Queen died, Katherine was the first person to record a version of the new national anthem, God Save The King, for when Charles became king.

Katherine, who performed for the Royal Family and the late Queen on numerous occasions, said: "I have only the fondest memories singing the national anthem for Her Majesty The Queen, memories I will always cherish.

"While my heart is heavy with grief, singing this today for the first time is a huge honour and was sung with the belief that King Charles III’s reign will be happy and glorious."

Katherine recorded the song in a small church in a remote area of Sussex and took a moment of silence and prayer before "singing from her heart".
