NeNe Leakes' son, Bryson Bryant, was taken into custody on July 3, 2023.
Police allegedly found him in possession of Fentanyl, which is a Schedule II-controlled substance. Beyond drug possession, Bryson allegedly lied about his identity to the police.
According to court records seen by The Mirror, Bryson told the police that he was his brother, Brentt Leakes. Additionally, the address the cops say he provided was actually for a residence that NeNe had sold multiple years ago.
Judge Deepak Jeyaram said in the criminal arrest warrant: "For sufficient cause made known to me in the above affidavit, incorporated by reference herein, and other sworn testimony, [members of law enforcement] are hereby commanded to arrest the accused Bryson Rashard Bryant."
According to jail records, Bryson has also been accused of violating probation and "loitering/prowling". Police records indicate that Bryson claimed that "he knew the people that lived at the residence, reports RadarOnline. However, the police said that this was false and that he was there attempting to evade police.
Martina Navratilova's wife Julia Lemigova says they 'will fight' cancerAs of now, records indicate that he is currently in jail. The bond for Bryson is listed in the records as $3,700.
Bryson has also been accused of violating his probation. As of writing, it is unclear what that probation was specifically in regards to, but the courts did state they have "evidence that the Defendant is on probation." The documents fail to "list court & offenses" when prompted.
During "Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 5, Bryson was also arrested for alleged theft of razors at Walmart. He asked his mother to bail him out, but she refused.
NeNe said at the time on the show: “He’s had a really easy life, so now I’m gonna show him what a hard life is. He’s gonna stay in jail, I’m not getting him out, and he can figure it out from behind bars.”
The Mirror have reached out to NeNe's representatives, Bryson's lawyer, and the Lawrenceville Police Department for comment.
