It's pretty straightforward to block on WhatsApp by following the steps below.
- Open WhatsApp.
- Select the chat of the person you want to block.
- Tap on their profile name.
- Look for Block at the very bottom.
If you need to block an unknown number the steps are pretty similar.
Click on the chat box of the unknown number in the app and repeat above.

How to unblock someone on WhatsApp
If you regret your decision or change your mind, it's easy to undo a block.
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap Settings.
- Find Privacy.
- Go to Blocked.
- Here you'll see a full list of everyone you've blocked.
- Tap the name of the person you wish to unlock.
- Scroll down and tap Unlock.
Blocking is unlimited, so if you need to restrict contact from someone again you can easily go back whenever you like.
The person you're blocking won't receive an alert.
But always think carefully before constantly blocking and unblocking a person - they may well decide to block you if you keep doing it.
