Brit holidaymakers have been snapped using towels to try to claim poolside loungers amid chaotic scenes across Spain.

Josh Teasdale, general manager of The Spinney Hill in Northampton, said: “Unfortunately, not everyone can afford a holiday abroad this year, but we wanted to bring that holiday feel to our locals.

“We know how busy the beer garden gets, especially if we have a heatwave, so we wanted to give customers a fun way to reserve their favourite spot.”
