Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is hoping to welcome Brighton forward Leandro Trossard to the Emirates over the coming days.

The Belgium international, 28, has scored seven goals in 16 appearances for Brighton this season but has just 18 months left on his existing deal. He has also fallen out with Roberto De Zerbi, which has given Arsenal the chance to sign the in-form star.

Trossard has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Gunners and is expected to be available for a transfer fee in the region of £20-25million. He would be quite the coup for Arteta's side after their No.1 target Mykhaylo Mudryk joined Chelsea.

Yet Arsenal fans will be worried their move for Trossard will collapse in the same way as their pursuit of Mudryk did. The good news is Arteta has lined-up two alternatives... just in case. Here are the latest transfer rumours from the Emirates.

Arsenal learn Zaniolo price

Roma are willing to sell Nicolo Zaniolo for €40m (£35m), according to Sky in Italy.

The advanced midfielder, who can also play on the wing or up front, has featured 17 times for Roma this season and won 11 senior caps for Italy. He was part of the Roma side that won the inaugural Europa Conference League under Jose Mourinho last year.

Arsenal have been linked with Zaniolo, 23, for some time and he could be available in January. It's believed Roma are now willing to cash in on their young asset - with Tottenham, West Ham and Borussia Dortmund also in the running for his signature.

As reported by Italian outlet La Repubblica, however, it's Arsenal who have opened talks to sign Zaniolo. There's a chance they could sign him on loan with an obligation to buy in the summer. That could allow Arsenal to sign both Trossard and Zaniolo in January.

Raphinha remains an option

Arsenal are still interested in signing Raphinha this month, despite Barcelona's price tag.

That's according to Spanish outlet SPORT, who claim the Gunners will try to bring the Brazil international, 26, back to the Premier League just six months after his £55m move from Leeds to Barcelona. He's struggled for form in Spain, scoring just two LaLiga goals.

It's believed Barcelona are open to selling Raphinha to improve their worrying financial situation, which remains a headache for president Joan Laporta. Yet they will only do so if Arsenal offer an £88m package - the same amount as Chelsea paid for Mudryk.

Raphinha is a more established player than Mudryk and proven in England after scoring 11 goals in the Premier League during his final season at Leeds. Raphinha's price tag isn't the only sticking point, as the player reportedly wants to stay at Barcelona. Right now, a move looks unlikely - but nothing can be ruled out when it comes to the transfer window.

Arsenal goalkeeper completes loan

The Gunners have confirmed goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri has joined Finish side SJK Seinajoki on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has come through the academy and represented Arsenal professionally in the EFL Trophy. He joined Chelmsford City on loan last summer and made 21 appearances in the National League South. The stopper has also appeared twice in the FA Cup.

Ejeheri was recalled from that loan spell earlier this month and will spend the rest of the season at SJK, who are currently sixth in the Veikkausliiga table - the top-flight of Finnish football.

Ejeheri is the second Arsenal goalkeeper to be recalled from a loan spell and sent abroad after Arthur Okonkwo. The 21-year-old played 26 times for Crewe during the first half of the campaign but has since joined Sturm Graz, who play in the Australian Bundesliga.
