Turn off use less data for calls
WhatsApp has a handy feature that allows you to use less data for calls.
But this will have an impact on call quality, so you might want to switch it off.
Bear in mind, with it off you'll use more data when not on Wi-Fi, so make sure this doesn't lead to a hefty bill.
Open WhatsApp and go to the Settings.
Select Storage and Data, then ensure Use Less Data for Calls is turned off.
Turn off battery saver
iPhone and Android both have battery saver modes to spare you from running low on power.
This option works by restricting your device's functions to a minimum.
Doing so can therefore affect call quality, so it might be worth turning this off for the duration of your call.
Close background apps
If you have a load of apps running in the background this too can overwork your smartphone.
