MAE Muller has seen her star power rise and rise despite a disappointing result at Eurovision.

Now she has become so in-demand that Hollywood is calling and she has had to cancel her forthcoming tour to deal with all of the opportunities coming her way.

The I Wrote A Song singer had been due to tour the UK in November but those plans have now been delayed amid a series of exciting offers in both music and film.

Mae, whose debut album Sorry I’m Late will be out next month, will make her major movie debut in the thriller Gassed Up next year and could soon become a regular on the big screen after impressing with her performance.

A source said: “Eurovision was known as a career killer for years but Mae has proved it can be an amazing springboard, even if things don’t go your way on the night.

“Her profile has skyrocketed this year and there’s some huge opportunities on the horizon.

“There are interesting offers on the table for her in both music and film, so there’s lots to think about and she is keen to get cracking.

“That has meant cancelling the tour which was a tough decision but she wanted to give people plenty of notice about it and wants to make sure she can put her all into some concerts next year.”

Gassed Up, which was shot before Eurovision, has been made by Bafta-nominated director George Amponash and is due to be released on Prime Video in January.

Mae said about the role: “It’s honestly been the most fun, exciting, scary, amazing experience.

“This team is so incredible and I’m so honoured to be a part of it.”

Mae is no stranger to getting into character – and transformed herself into 15 different people for the album artwork for Sorry I’m Late.

In an exclusive chat earlier this month, Mae said: “We had two days to do it and we did all of the looks twice.

“So we did 15 looks one day and 15 looks the second day and we had like 20 minutes to change between each look.”

The characters represent the different personalities she embodies on the record, on which she shows her vulnerable side.

That includes opening up about a ten-month period of celibacy, which she sings about on Me, Myself & I.

She explained: “It started off by accident and then I was like, ‘What if I lean into this and make it a self love thing?’

“Throughout my whole life I’ve got a lot of my validation from men: how they see me and perceive me.

“I didn’t go on any dates for just under a year and not having to rely on that or get validation from that, it made me focused and I felt really sure of myself.

“My standards shot through the roof and the love I had for myself.”
