Comedian Katherine Ryan has hit back at online trolls who spotted that she was drinking wine whilst breastfeeding her newborn daughter Fenna.
The 39-year-old stand-up comic gave birth to her third child, Fenna Grace, in December and has been sharing photos of the little one's first few months.
Among the pictures was a snap of Katherine breastfeeding her newborn while holding a glass of what appeared to be some sort of white wine.
Some social media followers immediately jumped to the conclusion that Katherine was consuming alcohol with her breakfast - a suggestion that absolutely baffled the star.
One person replied: "Enough with the wine drinking whilst still breast feeding," while another jabbed : "Is that a glass of Sauvignon with breakfast?"
Katherine Ryan and Jimmy Carr leave fans 'screaming at the TV' on Limitless WinA third user simply asked: "Are you having a glass of wine at breakfast?"
Katherine quickly struck back at those who had presumed the worst, as she curtly replied to one commenter: "My small children are smart enough to slowly explain to you why it’s fine.”
Following the awkward exchange, there was still plenty to celebrate as the rest of Katherine’s photos showed off a number of adorable snaps of her family’s time together.
But the new mum also hit the headlines earlier this week after a harrowing experience when she terrifyingly locked her newborn baby in the house alone after accidentally being locked outside.
In surveillance footage shared of the incident, the Netflix star managed to catch the moment of her mistake on camera as she stepped outside, only for the door to close and leave her unable to get back to her one-month-old daughter.
Her husband Bobby shared the footage online and appeared to find the terrifying scenario hilarious, as he cheekily commented: "My wife locked the baby in the house to get me home from the golf course immediately.”
Thankfully, however, she was soon able to get back inside to her little one, without any harm being done.
