England host Fiji at Twickenham on Saturday, with Steve Borthwick's side hoping to end their Summer Nations Series on a high following defeat against Ireland.

Having lost two of their three matches so far, England will see a match against Fiji as a chance to find their best form ahead of the tournament getting underway. Fiji are the ninth ranked team in the world, with the two-time Olympic Sevens gold medallists regarded as the great entertainers among rugby's elite.

Having lost 34-17 to World Cup hosts France in Paris, Fiji will back themselves against an England side who have been underwhelming so far this summer. Losing 29-10 to Ireland in Dublin last weekend underlined the challenges faced by Borthwick and his coaching team ahead of the World Cup getting underway with a match against Argentina in Marseille on September 9.

England's preparations have been hampered by suspensions to Saracens duo Owen Farrell and Billy Vunipola, with the pair being penalised for dangerous tackles in previous warm-up games. Both will miss the match this weekend as well as the start of the World Cup next month.

The match will be played at Twickenham, with ticket sales having dipped in relation to recent internationals. As of Tuesday, reports were that just over 40,000 sales had been made for the match, with New Zealand and South Africa expected to be sold out at the same venue for their fixture on Friday night.

Weekend 5

England team news:

England will be without captain Owen Farrell, with the fly-half having been suspended following World Rugby's intervention ahead of the World Cup. This means that Marcus Smith and George Ford will be competing to start in the number ten shirt, with Ford having started in the role last week before Smith was brought on to play at full-back.

Vunipola, meanwhile, will be watching on as his number eight role is filled by a replacement, with this likely to be either Sarries teammate Ben Earl, Tom Curry or Lewis Ludlam.
