The bear was spotted in a tree, according to officials.

Disney's app, My Disney Experience, showed multiple closed attractions.

Florida Fish and Wildlife managed to capture the adult female bear and said that they would take it out of the theme park and in or around the Ocala Forest, local NBC affiliate WESH reports.

"In most cases, it is best for bears to be given space and to move along on their own, but given this situation, staff are working on capturing and relocating the bear," Florida Fish and Wildlife said.

"During the fall, bears are more active as they search for food to pack on fat reserves for the winter.

"This particular bear was likely moving through the area searching for food," officials added.

The following attractions were closed:

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • Hall of Presidents
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Liberty Square Riverboat
  • Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • Pirate's Adventure
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Swiss Family Treehouse
  • Tom Sawyer Island
  • Walt Disney World Railroad

Shortly before 1pm, Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland were reopened.

Those tasked with finding the bear were seen carrying a large black figure in a white tarp at around 1.15pm, according to the outlet.

Magic Kingdom is one of the most popular parks at Disney World, with Cinderella's iconic castle right down Main Street.

Mondays are the busiest days to visit Disney World, according to the Disney Tourist Blog.

The average wait time for attractions across all parks is 44 minutes, the blog reports.

Monday's wait times are slightly longer than the weekend.
