But Michelle Keegan, who has played single mum Erin from the first series, knows what the show's fans will be most interested in.
In series five, Erin's connection with pack leader Vinnie (co-creator Joe Gilgun) reaches a new level.
Inside Mark Wright’s luxury £1k a night incredible ski holiday in FranceThe hunt for Vinnie's best buddy - and Erin's ex - Dylan (Damien Molony) has begun after he was hustled into a vehicle by hired gunmen.
Michelle said: "For me, Brassic is not just a comedy show, it has real depth, real heart, and people can identify with it."
She continued: "People want to be part of that gang. And although they are criminals –because they are criminals – people still love them, and that's very rare. This show is about a
forgotten town where the people are trying to make their lives better, but in a way they don't need to do that because they're happy."
Later on in the series, the gang head to Blackpool after Erin inherits her late father's flat – and his debts.
Michelle revealed that the scenes were "nostalgic" for her as she used to visit Blackpool on her summer holidays when she was younger.
The actress revealed: "For me it was nostalgic. I used to go to Blackpool on my summer holidays because my grandad and grandma had a caravan near there. If someone had told me that 25 years on I would be filming a TV show there, I wouldn't have believed it."

Michelle added: "We just had the best time - we had free rein of one of the arcades for two days solid. I was playing all these games for free. My brain couldn't handle it, I was just so excited!”
Last week, the former Corrie star posted a picture of the official poster for Brassic 5 and captioned the post, "Together they're legends. New season of Brassic coming soon. September 28."
