MARRIED At First viewers have been left gobsmacked after new bride Shona confessed to being "in love" - just hours after meeting her groom.

Performing arts teacher Shona, 31, was seen tying the knot with Brad - a complete stranger - during the latest episode of MAFS UK.

The pair appeared to hit it off straight away, but Shona then took things to the extreme.

Gathering her bridesmaids around her, Shona admitted: "Guys, I'm in love."

But her close pal Joanna was just seen rolling her eyes.

Joanna said to the cameras: "Because Shona falls so madly deeply in love, I feel very protective over her.

"I just want her to make sure she gets to know him before she gets into that headspace, which she is already in that headspace. I know she is."

Fans couldn't believe their ears either, with many taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their thoughts.

One viewer posted a red flag emoji and said: "Shona is in love already?!"

Another chimed in: "Did she just say she was in love???"

A third sarcastically added: "Chill out Shona, wait at least a few hours to fall in love."

And a fourth said: "Shona loves her husband already?? A sense a massive bunny boiler."

Earlier in Monday night's episode, Shona explained that she was badly bullied as a teenager and became bulimic as a result.

She said she had turned to meditation and yoga to help see the world more positively.

"I put a lot of effort and thought into my own mental health," Shona said. "Yoga Oracle cards, my crystals. Just feeling calm and making that space makes me feel much more positive about everything."

Brad, a model, also revealed to the cameras: "I'm a very spiritual person. I'm tuned in and connected.

"I practice spirituality by meditation. I do a lot of healing work with crystals and I also provide guided meditation classes."

Brad's mum certainly thinks he has met his match.

Speaking to Shona's mother at the wedding reception, she gushed: "They are absolutely besotted."

She added: "If I was to pick the perfect daughter-in-law, Shona is definitely the girl I would pick. She's lovely. I think this will be the real thing."
