HARRY STYLES has spent £3.8million on a Grade II listed building – which is being turned into a preschool for toddlers.

He called his last album Harry’s House but it’s more a case of Harry’s Creche with him becoming a nursery owner.

The As It Was singer secretly snapped up a property in December. Now the wheels are in motion to get it ready for its new use.

It means Harry is likely to receive a fortune each year as a landlord for the nursery business.

A source said: “The building is absolutely spectacular, so keeping it as a home would be what most people would want.

“But it has most recently been used as an office so it is easier to convert it into something else.

“It is a savvy investment for Harry, who can now sit back and watch the money roll in as the landlord.

“Unfortunately, any fans of his music who attend, or their parents, are unlikely to see him there.

“But it’s still a cool connection to one of music’s biggest stars.”

Harry is worth £150million and has previously put money into the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, which is due to open in April. That investment came in 2020, years after his first job delivering newspapers for a Co-op shop.

He is taking it easy at the moment following the two-year run of his Love On Tour concerts, which finished in Italy in July. Harry has been hanging out with his new girlfriend, actress Taylor Russell, in London.

The past four years have been hectic, with two albums, a tour and two movies. After all that, he will need a good sleep.

So take my advice. Stay away from that nursery full of screaming kids.

Glad to see the black of Hailey?

HAILEY BIEBER and Selena Gomez narrowly avoided bumping into each other as they left a Paris Fashion Week after-party, six months after quashing their feud.

They were both dressed in black as they let their hair down in the French capital on Tuesday night, above. But they arrived at and left the same nightclub separately, without an awkward run-in on the way in or out.

The pair have been pitted against each other by fans, with Selena being the ex-girlfriend of Hailey’s superstar husband Justin.

In March, Selena had to beg fans to avoid harassing Hailey online after a social media pile-on, with many claiming she was copying the Hands To Myself singer.

I doubt that will have brought them much closer together, though.

And it’s probably best if they just stay out of each other’s way.

THE POLICE are working together again – but only to launch a TikTok page.

Frontman Sting insisted it was the end when they ended their reunion tour in 2008.

But in a shock move the band have officially joined the social media app to celebrate the 40th anniversary of album Synchronicity, and will be sharing original content on there.

All three members – bass player Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland – are involved in the account.

But I’m told there are no plans for anything else.

The group formed 46 years ago and had hits including Roxanne and Message In A Bottle. But in 2008, Sting said: “Once we’re done with our reunion tour, that’s it for The Police.”

I’ll keep my fingers crossed anyway.

Posh scent back in time

VICTORIA BECKHAM smells success as she poses for a sultry snap to promote her first fragrance collection.

She has made three perfumes – San Ysidro Drive, which is linked to her former address in LA, Suite 302, inspired by a hotel room in Paris, and Portofino, which is a nod to her first holiday with husband David in 1997.

Posh said of the picture: “I was in a big studio in Brooklyn with an enormous projection of a Portofino landscape behind me, with a crew of over 100 people.

“I’m standing on a rock holding on for dear life to a railing, balancing in crazy high heels.

“I looked behind me and I saw Portofino, and I did feel quite emotional. The story behind every scent is as emotional as the next.”

THE 1975’s Matty Healy has announced the band will go on an “indefinite hiatus from shows” when their current tour ends.

The group, which formed in 2002 at school, broke the news during the opening night of their US tour in California on Tuesday.

Matty told the crowd: “We love coming to this place and playing for you guys whenever we have the chance – and it’s wonderful you’re all here.

“After this tour, we will be going on an indefinite hiatus of shows, so it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight.”

It is unclear whether this means they are splitting up or only taking a break from performing live.

They have shows booked up until March, when the tour is due to end in Amsterdam.

Globes' common sense

I HAVE long said that film award ceremonies are completely out of touch – because they typically fail to celebrate any movies that most people actually watch.

So I’m pleased to see the team at the Golden Globes are coming to their senses and introducing a new category for films that make it big at the box office, rather than a low-budget, Japanese language art film about a one-legged orphan, or something like that.

They have announced January’s ceremony will feature the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award, which will be eligible to the year’s highest-earning or most-watched feature films.

That is likely to feature nominations for Barbie, Oppenheimer and Mission: Impossible, so it’s right up my street.

The second new category being added is Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on TV, which will help champion comedians on the box.

The only laughs I usually get out of watching these ceremonies is from how ridiculous some of the winners are.

So that new Globes award should bring us a much-needed smile.

But given how long and tedious the annual Golden Globes ceremony can be, perhaps they should trim some of the other categories while they are at it.
