Jodie Turner-Smith has cited "irreconcilable differences" as he filed for a divorce from Joshua Jackson.
The former couple, who were married for four years are officially splitting as Jodie filed for divorce on Monday. According to court documents obtained by TMZ the former Without Remorse star filed the paperwork with her attorney Laura Wasser and asked for joint custody of their three-year-old daughter Juno.
Before marrying, the pair did not sign a prenuptial agreement and the 37-year-old model has requested for spousal support to be off the table for both her and her former partner. The Anne Boleyn star listed the date of their separation as September 13, confirming that the two parted ways over a month ago.
The couple first met during actor Joshua's 2018 birthday party and fell head over heels for one another, marrying just months after meeting. The pair reportedly went to the Beverly Hills Courthouse and signed a wedding license together before most people even knew they were dating.
Since then, the couple have gushed about one another on social media and in interviews. The pair were actually engaged two times with Jodie popping the question first, something the former Dawson's Creek star revealed during an interview on The Tonight Show.
Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce after marriage turned 'unhealthy'
He recalled: "She asked me, yeah, on New Year’s Eve. We were in Nicaragua. It was very beautiful and incredibly romantic. We were walking down the beach and she asked me to marry her.” The former Fatal Attraction star continued that he was caught off guard by her proposal added that she was "quite adamant" that they should get married and "she was right". He then took the wedding ring off his finger and held it up in front of Jimmy Fallon and said: "This was the best choice I ever made."
In September of 2022, rumours began to spread that the couple were going to breakup as they were seen unfollowing one another on Instagram, but they were then later spotted attending the Oscars together in March.
