Who is Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans?

Jenelle Evans first hit screens on MTV's 16 and Pregnant and then achieved popularity when she became a key cast member of both Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2.

The reality TV star, born on December 19, 1991, hails from Oaks Island, North Carolina.

She has garnered over 3 million followers on Instagram.

Jenelle has faced plenty of controversies in her off-screen life, including refusing to wear a mask inside a Walmart during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and allegedly using a racial slur in a TikTok video.

Why was Jenelle Evans fired from Teen Mom?

Jenelle was fired in April 2019 after her husband, David Eason, shot and killed their family dog.

He claimed that the dog tried to bite the couple's three-year-old daughter Ensley in the face, forcing him to put it down.

Their daughter, Ensley, was two at the time.

The controversial pair have claimed in a YouTube video that, as a result, Teen Mom's production team became afraid to work with David, and would ask not to go to their house.

An MTV spokesperson said at the time: "MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since."

“Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."

Jenelle admitted that she feels "lost" without her MTV job, and she doesn't know "what's next" in her life.

The former reality TV star took to her Instagram Stories to first share a slide that read, "I feel so lost," which led fans to chime in and ask her questions.

One person asked: "Do you miss TM2 or the crew?"

Jenelle responded: "This is why I feel lost."

Another fan wrote: "U ok? What happened?"

The MTV alum answered: "Nothing happened specifically, just thinking about life and not knowing what's next."

In an interview with Us Weekly, Jenelle confessed that it was hard to accept that the show had moved on without her.

“It’s just hard to be part of something when people replace you," she said.

"You were the original one that helped start that show, and it’s hard to be let go of something that you’ve put so much work into.”

Jenelle has since set up an OnlyFans page and remains active on social media.

Who is Jenelle Evans married to?

Jenelle married David Eason in 2017.

They share a daughter named Ensley.

The pair split in 2019, and she got a restraining order.

The couple reunited in early 2020 but split again after an incident involving a weapon, resulting in his arrest, per TMZ.

At the time, the reality star claimed she left him for good. However, she took David back after his release.

David was fired from Teen Mom 2 in 2018 after launching a "homophobic" X, formerly Twitter rant where he compared members of the LGBTQ+ community to dogs.

In October 2023, David was reportedly charged with child abuse in a case that involved her teenage son, Jace.

Jenelle took to social media to come to David's defense, claiming that the police were doing a "smear campaign" against him.

"You would think police wouldn't make a one sided police investigation," she wrote on her Instagram story.

"They didn't conduct interviews, didn't ask any information from the parents. This seems like a very bias situation like every time before."

"I trusted that detective with all my heart.. forgot you can't trust cops… silly me."

On March 7, 2024, a representative for Evans confirmed that she filed for legal separation from Eason.

Evans also announced the news in a TikTok video, sharing "I filed for separation."

She captioned the post, "New Chapter Unlocked," alongside an unlocked padlock and sparkles emojis.

She added that under North Carolina law, she needed to do so before filing for divorce.

It's unclear whether her separation was the key to getting Evans back on MTV or whether the network will document her ongoing battles with Eason in the upcoming season of Teen Mom: Next Chapter.
