Adrienne discussed her surrogacy journey whilst a guest on the Harder Than We Thought podcast. She spoke to the Real Housewives of New York City star Sai De Silva and Angela Rogers, who host the podcast, about her experience.
The guest shared that, following years of IVF attempts, she decided to consider surrogacy with her remaining embryo. Adrienne said it was "hard" but she's now "so grateful" to be a parent and "doesn't care" how he came into the world.
Adrienne - who's understood to have been a family friend of Kim's for years and once dated Rob Kardashian - went on to discuss going through the process. She said she reached out to Kim, who used a surrogates for two of her kids.
She said: "I didn't know anybody who had a surrogate. The only person I knew was Kim Kardashian. So I hit Kim and I'm like 'Kim, I'm being told that this is something that I should really look into. Can you give me some pointers?'"
Adrienne continued about the reality TV star on the podcast: "And she was freaking amazing. Like so dope. You'd be thinking to yourself 'like this woman is running multiple empires' [but she gave] the quickest response on text."
She added: "Like just there for me and she introduced me to Andy Vorzimer, who is the most incredible surrogate lawyer, which is a very big part of surrogacy. You don't think about it but there's a very big legal side to this journey."
The podcast's hosts mentioned the potential scenario where the surrogate could "change her mind" during the process. They also referenced potential decisions in regards to the surrogate's contact with the child post-partum.
Adrienne further commented on the podcast: "I had no idea about that, so I was so grateful that [Kim] gave me the head's up. She introduced me to [Andy] and he walked me through every step, introduced me to the woman that was actually gonna help me find the right surrogate for me."
