A SPORTS teacher who had sex with an underage pupil at a £6,000-a-year public school has been banned from the classroom for life.
Sean Bettinson manipulated his victim from the age of 12, befriending her parents and bombarding her with texts.

The offences took place between 2000 and 2003 before she came forward in 2016.
Bettinson, who later became manager of the England rugby sevens team, was jailed for 16 months two years ago.

His actions were described as a 'gross breach of trust' and he was ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
In July, a Teaching Regulation Agency panel concluded his behaviour amounted to grooming.
Banning Bettinson, of New Malden, South West London, David Oatley, for the Education Secretary, said: “There is some risk of repetition.”
