Another British national has reportedly been counted among the mountain of bodies found after Hamas militants attacked an all-night rave in Israel.

Dan Darlington, who is originally from the UK, was living in Germany when he visited Israel for the festival with his girlfriend Carolin Bohl. He is reportedly the second Brit victim of the attack, which claimed the lives of at least 260 people when Hamas fighters gunned down countless attendees, leaving piles of corpses in their wake.

Danny, who worked as a photographer in Berlin, was said to have hidden in a bunker in Nir Or, a kibbutz in Southern Israel, according to his partner Carolin's brother-in-law Sam Pasequesi. Sam was told late last night that the pair's bodies had been identified by a man working at the kibbutz.

In the last known picture of the couple, they can be seen smiling from ear to ear. Carolin's sister also confirmed the tragedy on Instagram, saying that she heard of the couple's death from a friend "on the ground".

Corporal Nathaniel Young, 20, from London, was serving in the Israeli Defence Force's 13th Battalion when he became one of the gunmen's victims. His family shared their grief in a Facebook post, saying they were "heartbroken" over the death of their beloved son who was "happy and thriving" living in Israel before the attack.

"Our little brother Nathaniel Young was tragically killed on the Gaza Border yesterday," the family said. The post was full of messages of condolences and an outpouring of love. "Nathanel was full of life and the life of the party - he carried the nickname DJ on base and at Benji's house, the lone soldier house that he lived at. He loved his family and friends and was loved by everyone. He loved music and was a talented DJ. Always willing to go to any lengths for his loved ones. An amazing uncle and brother. He was so happy and thriving in Israel. He loved the country."

Speaking to Sky News, his brother said: "Nathanel always had strong Jewish pride. From a young age he has always wanted to play an important role in defending his country - it's something he talked about a lot." He added: "Nathanel was also a bubbly guy who my two little daughters loved playing with and were always so excited to visit.

His death comes after 26-year-old Jake Marlow, who went to the same London school as Nathaniel, was reported missing while providing security at a music festival near the Gaza border.

Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom Tzipi Hotovely confirmed that a British citizen "is in Gaza" following kidnappings by Hamas, but did not clarify if they were being held hostage. She told Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips on Sky News: "I know there is one British citizen who is in Gaza at the moment. The Israeli government is doing everything we can to help those who are held hostage and every citizen who is taken is returned." Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Alicia Kearns said the Government's priority would be ensuring the safety of the missing Briton as well as other British nationals in Israel.
