What is a hoverboard?
Sadly, despite the name, hoverboards (for now at least) are two-wheeled gadgets that allow you to whizz around at ground level.
There's big markets for both on-road and off-road hoverboards, with the latter variety having chunkier tyres built to withstand the elements a little better.
Where can I ride a hoverboard?
While you might see hoverboards being ridden around town, the UK law prohibits them from being ridden on public roads and pavements.
For the time being, they're designed to be ridden on private land only.
In the USA, you'll have to check your local state laws to see if hoverboards are legal to ride in public places where you are.
