ZOE BALL was left with tide marks on her trousers while filming for new ITV1 talent contest Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream – and not because she went wading in the Ionian Sea, like Amanda Seyfried’s Sophie Sheridan in the blockbuster film.
Instead it was due to freak weather that almost put a stop to filming, as host Zoe recalled: “You fly out to Greece, and you think the weather’s going to be amazing and it was absolutely awful the first few days.
“Initially we had torrential rain and some of the sets were blowing away.
“For one show I was wearing long flares and the water from the set was up to my knees by the end.
“I had tide marks on my trousers.”

She added: “We had the audience under umbrellas, but then the gods of Olympus smiled at us, and the sunshine came out.”
Mamma Mia!, which aims to find two stars to join the London production of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia!, begins on October 22 at 6pm.
Yesterday it unveiled its cast, which includes hopefuls Desmonda, 27, who moved to London from Indonesia to try to make it in the West End, and Tobias, 22, who has toured with Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice.
