STRANGER Things star Millie Bobby Brown is ready to close the door on the beloved Netflix show and move on to the next chapter of her life.

Millie, 19, landed the role of Eleven in the Duffer brothers’ hit series eight years ago and literally grew up in front of the camera. Now she’s ready for what comes next.

Likening the final season of Stranger Things to her senior year of high school, Millie told Glamour that she feels “ready” for it to be over. Already an A-list actress, producer, author and entrepreneur, she now wants to spread her wings and graduate.

“When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘All right, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here’,” she told the outlet in an interview conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which complements her Woman of the Year cover.

She explained: “Stranger Things takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’”

Grateful for her experience on the show, Millie added that Stranger Things has given her “the tools and the resources to be a better actor” going forward.

However, she’s going to have to wait a bit longer to move on from the Netflix show, as production on Stranger Things’ final season has now been delayed because of the Hollywood strikes.

The upcoming season was slated to conclude in 2024, but now seems more likely to premiere in 2025 given the delays.

Millie’s wish to move on from it is not because of any ill-will between the cast and crew — she told Glamour she’ll still see them all the time — but purely because it’s been such a huge part of her life for so long that she’s ready for the next chapter.

As she noted, her Stranger Things contract is stopping for pursuing other projects, and it will be difficult to commit to other roles as there could be conflicts in her filming schedule.

With that said, Millie does have a lot of other projects on go, including the feminist fantasy film Damsel, which she is producing and starring in alongside Angela Bassett, which she was able to film during her break from Stranger Things.

Millie also made time to star opposite Chris Pratt in a post-apocalyptic feature called The Electric State which comes from the Russo brothers, who’ve previously worked with Chris, 44, on MCU’s Avengers movies.

“To be able to go toe-to-toe with Chris Pratt!” Millie exclaimed. “He’s such a great man, but also a great actor and a great co-star.”

She added: “It’s a very exciting opportunity that I never thought I’d be able to have, to be able to be treated the same as him and to be looked at and respected the same as him on the set by the production, by the studio.”

In recent weeks, Millie’s busy schedule has included the press tour for her debut novel Nineteen Steps and by her side throughout all of it has been her fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, the son of legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi.

The Enola Holmes star opened up to Glamour about her relationship, crediting Jake, 21, for his bringing her out of his shell, helping her to love herself more and his continued support of her work.

The pair are currently planning a very “intimate” wedding, but explained that nothing will change once they are married, as neither of them want Millie to become a “stereotypical wife.” Instead, “he wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that.”
