A MECHANIC who has seen hundreds of cars riddled with mould has revealed a £1.25 essential to solve the problem.

Cesar Martinez shared his "god send" piece of advice when trying to tackle stubborn water stains in your vehicle.

The motor expert explained during the winter months, rain can leak through the doors and create nasty mould on the seat belts.

In a helpful video posted to TikTok, Cesar explained: "Instant mould and mildew stain remover works great, just spray it, you don't need to scrub, just spray and let it do it's magic."

He demonstrated applying a generous layer to the seat belt.

"Leave the windows or car doors open because it smells very strong and it's probably not great to breath in," he added.

"After 15 minutes, looks at that - no mould."

An impressed driver commented: "I bought a car, with undisclosed water damage and the seat belts look exactly like that.

"This is a god send."

A similar spray to the one Cesar uses was spotted at Home Bargains by one savvy shopper.

They shared their find in the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and penned: "My vertical blinds were covered in mould. I used this mould and mildew spray from Home Bargains £1.25.

"Sprayed on and left for 15 mins and it was gone!"

People were quick to comment, praising the spray for its "quick results".

One Facebook user said: "Brilliant stuff that. Use it on my blinds and walls."

Another said: "Worked on mine too. I sprayed on and when I went back to scrub them it had already gone, hasn't come back since."

While a third added: "Yes it's a total game changer and I use it all around the house."

The same mould blaster spray can be found for £1 at Poundland and £1.19 at B&M and Asda.
