AJ and Will quickly dismissed his remark and continued with the interview.

However, Big Brother fans at home were stunned by his claim and took to social media to comment.

One said: "Did Paul just say that Big Brother told them to wind people up?"

A second wrote: "Did Paul just say big brother told them to wind them up? Or did I hear wrong?"

"Did I just hear that right," questioned a third.

While a fourth posted: "Paul just said he was told to wind people up."

The Sun has contacted Big Brother for comment.

The fight in question broke out in the TV abode on Thursday night.

Show bosses pulled the live feed off air as they tried to defuse the tension between housemates.

The drama began when Yinrun was rewarded for passing a secret mission with a boozy party, to which she invited Chanelle, Jenkin, Tom, Trish, Dylan and Noky.

Disgruntled at their lack of invite, Olivia and Paul were left to look on at the party from the upstairs seating area with Matty, Henry and Jordan.

Paul, who The Sun exposed for uploading X-rated photos online, let rip and began to yell abuse before heading down to cause mayhem.
