Meghan Markle didn't start off her acting career in successful law drama Suits - but certainly made her name on the show.
Just as an actress would, the Duchess of Sussex started out her career on the smaller sets, including Deal or No Deal where she would open the red briefcases filled with a mystery cash number. And also CSI Miami as part of a guest role on the police drama. As well as TV, Meghan starred in small movie roles alongside Hollywood actors like Jennifer Aniston and Robert Pattinson.
Her first dip into acting was in high school. She acted in plays and musicals at her high school in Los Angeles. While she was attending Northwestern University getting her double degree in theatre and international studies, she made her first television appearance as a nurse in one episode of General Hospital in 2002.

Meghan Markle 'to unleash her own memoirs' as Prince Harry's drops next weekAs she plans to take back Hollywood, we take a look at the smaller roles the Duchess starred in before her claim to fame.
Deal or No Deal
While contestants in the UK were made to open boxes for their fellow competitors, in America the models - known as "briefcase girls" - opened cases containing sums between one cent and a whopping $1m.
And some of those models have gone on to have glamourous careers - including of course Meghan who went on to marry Prince Harry.- Meghan appeared in 34 episodes of the game show between 2006 and 2007. And she was one of many to become a household name after appearing on the show.
Get Him To The Greek
Meghan had the small part of Tatiana - a partygoer in the Hollywood film Get Him To The Greek. Russell Brand once bragged about "putting one on" her after starring alongside her in the film.
In the interview on ITV's Loose Women back in 2018 Brand is asked if it was true he once snogged the now Duchess of Sussex. And in reply, the comedian said: "She was in a film that I was in, Get Him to the Greek, it was a good film.
Meghan Markle didn’t know at the time because she wasn’t married to a Royal person. I don’t remember the film that much, I think I planted one on her in the scene. But that was scripted in the scene. I only know this because I think I saw a clip of it somewhere. They should bring that up [at the wedding]… if anyone has any reason… yeah Russell Brand snogged her in the film!"
Remember Me
Meghan coincidentally plays a character named Megan in this Robert Pattinson-led drama film. She appears in one scene as a bartender but claims that there were several other scenes that didn't make the cut. Her then-husband, Trevor Engelson, was a producer for the 2010 movie. In 2013, the Duchess of Sussex spoke highly of working with Robert, saying: "He's a really lovely guy." On a red carpet in 2017, Robert said Meghan was "great."
Horrible Bosses
Horrible Bosses was a rare film role for the Duchess and she played Jamie, a FedEx delivery woman. In her scene, Jason Sudeikis' Kurt talks about his job and when he sees Jamie waiting for a signature on a package she's delivering he jumps right over.
After some awkward attempted flirting, Jamie quickly brushes him off and leaves - unaware that Kurt didn't actually sign the delivery so she might have to come back.
CSI Miami
Four years after her appearance on CSI: NY, Meghan appeared on CSI: Miami for a guest spot as Officer Leah Montoya. The dramatic role shows her running into a burning building offering to be a second set of hands to save a child.
