AYDA Field's star was already high in the sky when she met Robbie Williams.

The Take That star married his American girlfriend at his home in Los Angeles in 2010.

Born and raised in LA, Ayda's father is Muslim and her mother Jewish.

She graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in California in 1997 and went on to study law and accountancy at university.

But Ayda, whose mum Gwen was a movie producer, turned to modelling and working as an actress, and made her debut aged 21 in City Girls in 1998.

Two years later she won a lead role in the huge US soap Days of our Lives playing Angelo Moroni.

Her other roles included the drama Back To You, playing Montana Diaz Herrera in the Fox sitcom for ten episodes.

She also starred as Jeannie Whatley in the TV series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, alongside Matthew Perry.

The series was about the production of a live comedy series similar to Saturday Night Live.

However, the even having a Friends star attached couldn't save the comedy and it was cancelled after one year.

Ayda paid tribute to Matthew after his tragic death at the age of 54.

Sharing a photo of them together on set of the sitcom, she penned: "I’ve just read the news that Matthew Perry has passed away and my heart is heavy.

"Many years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Matt on a tv series called Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.

"Working alongside him for a year was truly a privilege, personally and professionally.

"Not only was Matt one of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with, he was one wickedly funny human being.

Ayda breaks onto UK screens with Fresh Meat

Ayda made her debut on UK telly when she landed a role on British comedy series Fresh Meat as Rosa, and also the British drama series Paranoid as Sheri.

That year Ayda joined ITV chat show Loose Women as a guest panellist.

Then in 2018, she sat alongside Robbie on the X Factor 2018 judging panel.

Apparently, show bosses put a £10million deal on the table to secure the husband and wife as a judging combo.

At the time, she told The Sun it was her chance to prove to the UK at long last that she boasted as much charisma as Robbie — and to show off her wealth of showbiz knowledge.

In the intervening years Robbie and Ayda's relationship has gone from strength to strength, and today they are one of the most solid couples in showbiz.

The couple were set up on a blind date by mutual friends in 2006.

Three years later at Christmas they got engaged, and married in a private ceremony the following year.

In 2012, Robbie and Ayda welcomed their first child into the world, daughter Theodora, and a son called Charlton followed in 2014 - with Robbie famously live streaming the birth on YouTube.

They now have Charlton, eight, Coco, four, and three-year-old Beau and have been together 17 years.

Ayda's agony at losing her dad Haldun Evecan

Ayda's own parents split up when she was just three years old.

She is fluent in Turkish, thanks to her dad Haldun Evecan, while her film producer mum Gwen Field helped to peak her interest in the entertainment industry.

Ayda reconnected with her dad, who had returned to Turkey, when she got married to Robbie, with the star calling him for an emotional heart-to-heart.

Haldun told The Telegraph after his daughter married the Take That legend: "I was wishing her happiness and apologising that I hadn't been there for her as she was growing up.

"I told her that I wished I could have been with her to hold her hand on her first day at school or to care for her when she was sick.

"I told her that I didn't give her much and certainly not as much love as I would have liked and that will haunt me my whole life and my beautiful daughter replied, 'Baba you gave me the best gift of all you gave me life.'"

Ayda has spoken before of her agony at losing her dad in 2014 to a heart attack, just a few years after finding him again.

But she has been introduced to her two half sisters, and in 2019 she penned a heartbreaking tribute to her father on the anniversary of his death.

She penned: "To my beautiful Baba…On the anniversary of your death, I celebrate your life and the life you gave me.

"Though we were apart for most of my life, you were always close in my mind and in my heart. And though you are even farther from me now, you are even deeper within me. I love you so much, Baba.

"You are always with me wherever you are and I promise to teach your grandchildren all about your legacy. AWxx."

Ayda's mother was sadly diagnosed with cancer in 2021, and kind-hearted Robbie moved his mother-in-law 6,000 miles from Los Angeles to Geneva in Switzerland to live with them and isolate during the Covid pandemic.

Ayda, who has four kids with Robbie, has been credited with keeping him grounded over the years, but has always wanted to be known as Ayda Field, actress and star in her own right.

Robbie now calls Ayda his “rock”, and recently said: “She makes me want to be a better person.

"And in the process, I have become a better person.”

As well as a forthcoming biopic about his life, Robbie has revealed a Netflix four-part documentary featuring hours of never-before-seen reportage and footage.
