The veteran director told him to “get a life” after he picked out historical inaccuracies in the blockbuster, starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Also, he said, the former French queen has long, frizzy hair in the execution scene — but her real hair was cropped.
While Sir Ridley, 85, gave the criticisms short shrift, his military adviser on the film, former paratrooper Paul Biddiss, insisted authenticity was everything.
From tongue scraping to saying no, here are 12 health trends to try in 2023He said: “Uniformity is very important with Ridley — right down to the guys, making sure their hats are straight.”
And Joaquin, 49, has said: “If you want to really understand Napoleon, then you should probably do your own studying and reading, because if you see this film, it’s this experience told through Ridley’s eyes.”
The near three-hour film will be released on November 22.
