GIRLS ALOUD slipped right back into full-on pop star mode as they reunited after more than a decade — by being needy divas.
I broke the news yesterday how Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, had got back together and had spent Tuesday on the set of the video for their first single in 11 years.

The group, who had a hit with Life Got Cold in 2003, even demanded assistants dashed out to buy hot water bottles and blankets.
A source said: “Girls Aloud were a bit of a handful the first time around and it looks like they are this time too.
From tongue scraping to saying no, here are 12 health trends to try in 2023“It was a long day of filming and the ladies didn’t make it easy, sending runners scrambling to source things to warm them up.
“It was a bit chilly but they could have quite easily stuck a coat on.
“Instead they made it known to absolutely everybody that they were freezing and simply must have extra layers and anything which staff could get their hands on to warm them up.
“Clearly some things never change.”
The video will see the girls playing superhero characters in Wonder Woman-style costumes and capes.
The group have reunited in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who died from breast cancer in 2021. Footage of her is expected to be included in the video.
It is a major U-turn for Girls Aloud, as Kimberley ruled out a reunion only last year.
She said at the time: “I feel, for all of us, it would just be too painful.
“We’re so grateful that we had the time that we did and that we can find a way of doing something positive.
“But I don’t think it’s going to be something we’ll do.”
How to de-clutter if you have a beauty stash to last you a lifetimeThey now plan on making more new music and eventually heading out on the road for a huge tour to delight fans.
Hopefully they will be a bit nicer to everyone around them by the time that kicks off.

The Radio 1 DJ currently seems to be out every night, always in another glam frock and minus new hubby Calvin Harris.
But she had plenty of other stars to keep her company at Harper’s Bazaar’s Women Of The Year Awards at Claridge’s hotel in London on Tuesday.
Olivia Colman, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Kim Cattrall, Jenna Ortega and Geri Halliwell-Horner all turned out for the bash.
Actress of the year winner Emilia Clarke said: “When . . . 80 per cent of faces you see out in front of you are men behind and in front of the camera, it can make you feel that is how it’s always meant to be, which is not the case.
“This evening is so wonderful as it encourages us to see more inclusivity across the board.”
Fightstar back for biggest gig
Busted star Charlie Simpson is making a comeback with his rock band Fightstar for their first show in eight yearsCHARLIE SIMPSON has just completed a reunion tour with Busted – and now he’s at it again.
He is making a comeback with his rock band Fightstar for their first show in eight years – and it will be the biggest of their career, at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on March 22 to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
During an exclusive chat, Charlie, in the band with Alex Westaway, Dan Haigh and Omar Abidi, said: “We’re pretty dumbfounded that we’re playing Wembley.
“ We know we have a very loyal fanbase but when we got the call from our agent saying, ‘Do you want to play Wembley?’ I think we were all pretty shocked.”
Omar joked: “I couldn’t compute it. It was 3am in Thailand and I was half asleep. For the next ten minutes, I couldn’t understand what he was saying.”
Pre-sale tickets sold out in just 15 minutes yesterday ahead of the general ticket sale tomorrow.
It could well be the last time they reunite, as they are all busy with other things, too.
Alex said: “If Wembley is the last thing we do, what an amazing thing. Never say never, but what an achievement. It feels so nice to be able to get to that level.”
Charlie continued: “I think the next thing for us would be to make some music at some point. But that takes a lot more time, you can’t dip in and out of that.”
Now they are just hoping they can stay sober for the show.
Charlie said with a laugh: “Our tours were sponsored by Jagermeister so we got a bottle for every night and we would usually drink that stuff on the first night.”
Alex added: Apart from that first night, we were very rock’n’roll. We’d just watch movies and have debates on the back of the tour bus.”
LeAnn loves being saucy
LeAnn Rimes has been talking about her love of sleepLEANN RIMES first sang that she Can’t Fight The Moonlight 23 years ago.
Now the American singer has admitted she is still struggling, admitting she finds it hard to stay awake for her shows because she so loves getting an early night.
In an exclusive chat, she said: “Travelling at 41 is a lot different to doing it at 14.
“I appreciate sleep these days, I take care of myself. I am the opposite of rock’n’roll, that’s for sure.
“When I am home, I am in bed at 8.30pm and I am up at 4am. I am an early bird. It’s quiet and I enjoy it.
“It’s funny on the road because I am like, ‘How am I going to stay awake for an 8pm show? I’m ready to go to sleep’.”
The singer is returning for her first gig in the UK in six years next May, when she will play a one-off show at London’s O2 Arena.
And the country star, who released her 15th album, God’s Work, last September, has made it clear she has missed playing in Britain - almost as much as she missed her favourite fast food chain.
She said: “I do like Nandos and I love Nandos sauce.
“We have Nandos in the States but it’s not the same. I always get my Nandos in.
“I have played the O2 before at Country 2 Country Festival and those thousands of people made it feel like my living room.
“My shows are about connection, simplicity at its best.
It’s all about my voice and my connection with the fans.”

One fan commented: “The Mrs Doubtfire accent is killing me.”

Is Adele heading home?
ADELE could be making her return to the UK after the final leg of her Las Vegas residency.
At the Music Industry Trusts Awards in London, Adele’s live agent Lucy Dickins said: “I am already thinking about the next move. I don’t think there will be any new music imminently. She is an incredible artist who works her a**e off. She is having a break now which is well deserved.”
On her residency coming to the Royal Albert Hall, like Mariah Carey and Eric Clapton, Lucy said: “With 5,000 people, how long would she have to be there to fill her demand?”
But she teased: “Adele doesn’t traditionally do what everyone else does.”
