The body of a missing British man who vanished in Jamaica without his vital medication has been found.
Robert Dyer spent four days without the vital medication he needed for his type-2 diabetes, a heart complaint and high blood pressure. He was last seen when he set off for a walk on Sunday morning in Ballards Valley, Jamaica, during a retreat in the country.
Jamaica Observer reports Mr Dyer's walking stick was found first before his body was discovered in a vegetated area on Thursday morning. The 60-year-old had been in Jamaica to see his brother Henry, 56, and his niece. The national army and more than 250 Ballards Valley residents have assisted emergency services in the hunt for Robert, his son Lewis said.
Speaking to Mirror previously, Lewis, 41, feared the worst for his dad, who is a retired fitness instructor from southeast London. Lewis, who himself has two children, told the Mirror yesterday that he was terrified his dad had run out of time.
