STACEY Dooley, found herself on the verge of tears during a poignant baby scene in her latest BBC documentary.

The 36-year-old accompanied a dedicated team of undertakers to gain firsthand insight into their daily routines for her show, Stacey Dooley: Inside the Undertakers.

However during her journey with the undertakers, one deeply heart-wrenching moment proved to be overwhelming for the presenter.

Tagging along with Undertaker Paul to collect bodies from the hospital and transport them to the funeral home, Stacey grew increasingly uneasy as she observed the entire process.

In distressing scenes, Stacey felt on the brink of tears upon witnessing the retrieval of a baby.

"Are you ok, Stacey?" the hospital workers asked, noticing her struggle to witness the process.

"Yes," she replied holding back her tears,

Stacey added: "It's so hard when the bags are so tiny..."

The hospital worker replied: "Yeah, unfortunately, it's one of the things you never really get used to either."

The worker continued: "But we give them all the little care that they deserve as well."

Later on Stacey told the camera: "It's obviously not the most comfortable environment."

She continued: "Because it's not something... we're not often exposed to death. And you know, there's a little Moses basket and they sort of gently place the bag in the basket and I just...

"You just can't help but think about you know, the parents of that baby."

After she got inside her car she told the cameras: "God, that was so, so difficult."
