Arsenal maintained their excellent start to the Premier League campaign with a 3-1 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners headed into the match against the struggling Clarets fresh off an impressive 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League. And with confidence running high, goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko put Vincent Kompany's side to the sword in the capital.

The result puts Arsenal in a sweet position ahead of the fortnight break, which will give Mikel Arteta the opportunity to take stock of the season so far. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the headlines from in and around the Emirates following the Burnley match...

Arsenal legend Malcolm Macdonald has accused Mikel Arteta of “re-writing the Arsenal handbook of standards” in the wake of his damning rant on VAR.

But Macdonald is less than impressed with Arteta's behaviour and has hit out at the Spaniard.
