Born on September 1, 1960, in Brownsville, New York, Eric Adams is a politician who is currently serving as the 110th mayor of New York City.
He assumed office on January 1, 2022. After announcing his candidacy for mayor in November 2020, he later won the 2021 Democratic mayoral primary.
Subsequently, he defeated Republican Curtis Silwa in a landslide victory in November 2021.
For more than 20 years, Adams worked as a former police officer in the New York City Transit Police and the New York Police Department.

Adams' only son, Jordan Coleman, is currently an actor and director.
He is best known for voicing Tyrone in seasons two and three of The Backyardigans.
Jordan also starred in Payin' the Price back in 2011.
