ANTHONY ELANGA has revealed who the next big talent coming through the Man Utd is.

Sweden star Elanga, 21, joined the Red Devils youth system aged 12.

He has since moved to Nottingham Forest last summer for a £15million fee.

But during that time, Elanga saw his fair share of stars coming up the youth ranks.

One of those was 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo, who made his league debut last season in a 3-0 win over Leicester City.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the winger spoke of the talented teeneger.

And he shared that he believes the midfielder shares similar characteristics to France World Cup winner Paul Pogba.

Elanga said: "Kobbie Mainoo [is the next big academy star]. He is one of my close guys that I still speak to at United and I believe he is next the top one, his talent is unreal,"

"He has got everything and I just hope United can look after him really well and let him flourish. He is a top player.

"When I played with him in the academy I always thought he had similar attributes to Paul Pogba.

"They are not the same player but just the way he moves and they can both do everything, defensive, offensive, he has a mixture of everything and is really good on and off the ball."

Before his Premier League bow, Mainoo made his United debut in the EFL Cup against Charlton in January 2023.

He has represented England at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.

However, he is also eligible to play for Ghana.
