Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer had been enjoying a 'fresh start' amid news her marriage to husband Jordan Wyn-Jones came to an end.
The professional dancer had a busy and difficult few months due to juggling dance rehearsals as well as her romantic life. She married Jordan in June 2022 but was seen without her wedding ring when she attended the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this month.
A few hours after the split was revealed, she had to put on a brave face as she participated in the dreaded dance-off with her dance partner Eddie Kadi before getting eliminated. And now, Karen took to her social media to share a fresh-faced selfie with her 310,000 followers.
"Fresh start," she captioned the photo as the sunlight perfectly hit her face. Fans rushed to the comment section to compliment the star, with one user telling her: "Never to late for fresh starts and new chapters... Make sure you make it a good one," while another one said: "Proud of all you have accomplished and achieved." Another loyal fan added: "Gorgeous girl. Hope you're doing good."
Celebrity friends, including Strictly Come Dancing stars Jowita Przystał, Nikita Kanda, Scarlett Moffatt, Jac Jossa and Amanda Abbington, all left lovely comments on Karen's gorgeous selfie. Her positive post comes after news emerged Karen and her husband made the difficult decision to go their separate ways after a year of marriage.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7stA source recently opened up to The Mirror and said: "Karen and Jordan have had a tough time in the past few months and decided to split. It's obviously very sad for both of them, but there's no ill-will whatsoever. The split is amicable, and they wish each other the best."
Karen was previously married for three years to fellow Strictly professional dancer Kevin Clifton. They divorced in 2018. Before that, she enjoyed a nine-year marriage to Matthew Hauer, but they split in 2009 – the same year that they auditioned together on US reality show So You Think You Can Dance.
She then wed Jordan last year in a lavish ceremony at Chewton Glen in Hampshire, telling Hello magazine that the experience had been “a fairytale”. However, in August, she told how they had couple's counselling. She explained: " Communication is massive, but learning how to communicate… we get outside help. It’s seeing each other’s vulnerable side, and understanding it and knowing that both of us are working on things because nobody is perfect."
She added: "There is no such thing as a happy marriage or a happy relationship with the perfect couple. It's about dealing with things the right way and not just running away from things, and I guess that's what makes us tick even better and understand one another."
