Billie Eilish has urged her fans to stop discussing her sexuality, with the star even accusing a magazine of "outing" her after she unintentionally came out over the weekend.
The 21-year-old singer seemingly unintentionally came out as LGBTQ+ during an interview with Variety Magazine. The revelation came to light just the other day.
In her cover interview, Billie said: "I've never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I'm attracted to them as people. I'm attracted to them for real."

At the Variety Hitmakers event on Saturday, she was asked about her statement. The interviewer asked: "We gotta talk about your cover story because you mention that you felt like for a long time women didn't like you,"

When asked if she meant to come out in the story, Billie laughed and said: "Girl, no I didn't but I kind of thought, 'Wasn't it obvious?' Like its kinda been... I just didn't realise people didn't know."
And now the singer has taken to social media to accuse the magazine of "outing" her on the red carpet. Writing a caption, Billie said: "Thanks Variety for my award and also outing me on a red carpet at 11am instead of talking to me about anything else that matters. I like boys and girls leave me alone about it please literally who cares."
Also at the Variety event when chatting on the red carpet, the interviewer, who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community, shared her thoughts on coming out publicly. She stated: "We need to get to a point where you don't even have to come out."
The Bad Guy singer then replied: "I just don't really believe in it. It's like why can't we just exist?" She admitted she was surprised when she read the cover story, saying: "I saw the articles and I was like, 'Oh I guess I came out today!' I was like, okay cool,"
Billie expressed her excitement but also her nervousness about people knowing, adding a nervous laugh. "It's exciting to me because, you know, I guess people didn't know. So it's cool that they know but I'm nervous talking about it."
