Today marked the last ever instalment of the programme after it first hit our screens in 2020.

Steph couldn't contain her emotions as the instalment started to wrap up about around 2pm.

As she composed herself, she said: "Save me, save me!"

Her co-star then read out some bits for viewers to listen to and she wiped a tear from her face.

After sharing the show's best bits, Steph decided to keep it short and sweet, because otherwise she would have showed her "ugly crying face".

Steph ended with: "Thank you for watching, thank you for everyone who has been on the show."

Despite it being a sad time for her, she ended it on a humorous note.

As she danced her way out of the studio, she was met with a "Leeds job centre" sign which pointed to the right, and she followed that direction.

Fans rushed to X to share their heartbreak.

One wrote: "I'm gutted #StephsPackedLunch is ending. It's always been fun. Hope they bring it back."

Another added: "Such a shame the programme has been axed #StephsPackedLunch."

A source told us back in October: "This decision has come totally out of the blue; Steph's Packed Lunch has been going from strength to strength, and has an incredibly loyal fanbase.

"It feels like Channel 4 are shooting themselves in the foot with this one - citing the need to do less live programming in order to go toe to toe with Netflix et al. It's nonsense.

"Channel 4 is supposed to be a public service broadcaster, offering viewing something a bit different, and pushing boundaries.

"And to axe a regional-based show seems like yet another cronyism move by an out-of-touch bunch of north London-luvvie execs."

Steph's Packed Lunch launched from her own home during Covid/ lockdown.

The same year it moved into a built studio and has had a number of incredible guests on the show, as well as raising awareness for important topics.
