The real-life Mario Brenna was a renowned photographer who worked for prestigious fashion houses, as well as capturing images of notable names and famous faces.
One famous image he captured was of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed on board the Jonikal yacht off the coast of Sardinia back in 1997.

Brenna, who lived in Monaco at the time, was said to have spotted the vessel while he was working on other assignments, The Independent reports.
The photographer went on to sell the photos to publications across the world for huge sums.
Where is Mario Brenna now?
Mario Brenna now lives near Lake Como, in Italy, the New York Times reports.
It's there he said he has photographed a number of celebrities including George Clooney, Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé.
Aside from this information, not much else is known about Brenna's life to date, with the photographer appearing to lead a quiet life away from the media limelight.
What has Mario Brenna said about The Crown?
Following the latest release of the royal series, Mario Brenna told of how one of the scenes portrayed in The Crown was inaccurate.
In one part of the episode, the actor portraying Mohamed Al Fayed, Dodi’s father, can be seen appearing to hire photographer Brenna to take the shots.
However, in an interview with the New York Times, Brenna said the idea that Al Fayed hired him was ''absurd and completely invented''.

The Italian photographer also told of his reaction when he heard of the devasting news of Diana's death.
Brenna said he ''couldn’t believe it'' and cried after hearing that the Princess had sadly passed away.
