The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been branded as "losers" by a renowned Hollywood publication, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle slammed for their "whiny Netflix documentary" and "inert podcast".
Every year The Hollywood Reporter rounds up the winners and losers of the year, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie all coming out on top. But a duo that sadly didn't was the Sussexes.
The scathing article that brands the couple as "losers" states that Harry and Meghan "lost" after they fled a life of public service to cash in on their celebrity status. It then notes: "But after a whiny Netflix documentary, a whiny biography (Spare — even the title is a pouty gripe) and an inert podcast, the Harry and Meghan brand swelled into a sanctimonious bubble just begging to be popped — and South Park was the pin."

The article by The Hollywood Reporter then notes how the 20-minute South Park episode, which was titled World-Wide Privacy Tour, was a "savage" takedown of the couple. The article then touches on Meghan's Spotify podcast Archetypes and how it was dropped before the couple were labelled as "grifters" by an executive at the streaming platform.
Meghan Markle 'to unleash her own memoirs' as Prince Harry's drops next weekBut although the piece brands Harry and Meghan as two of the "biggest losers" of 2023, the publication writes that the "mockery" they are receiving "beats otherwise having to attend 200-plus official royal family engagements a year, which sounds hellish".
And following the couple being branded "losers" by one of the most renowned publications in Tinsel Town, Royal expert Kinsey Schofield appeared on TalkTV and said: "The Hollywood Reporter [is] basically the bible in this city. This has got to hurt Harry and Meghan personally and it's got to have William Morris Endeavor (WME) - her current talent agency - scrambling to figure out what their next steps are."
This comes after Kinsey spoke on GB News and branded the couple "toxic" before saying that "drama follows them wherever they go". The Sussexes were seemingly snubbed from The Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor's wedding next summer, with the Waleses said to be on the guestlist.
"I think this decision is a pretty common sense decision. Why would you invite people, that just drama follows them wherever they go. And that's my biggest argument towards Harry and Meghan," Kinsey said on GB News this week.
She later added: "Everywhere Harry and Meghan goes, drama follows," when talking about the upcoming wedding that the couple were seemingly snubbed from after not receiving an invite.
