I’m A Celeb star Danielle Harold and former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks could be on the cusp of a blossoming romance - according to a body language expert.
The 31-year-old former EastEnders actress was one of the 12 stars taking part in the 2023 season of I’m A Celeb - where she competed in trials and slept on the jungle floor. The season was ultimately won by former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 31 - who is best friends with ex-Towie star Pete, 35.
And while most I’m A Celeb campmates had their significant others waiting to meet them at the other end of the bridge, Sam opted to have Pete meet him rather than his girlfriend, recent Strictly contestant Zara McDermott, 26. But it seems Danielle and Pete may have been growing close after she left the camp after being voted out and he waited in the wings to catch up with Sam.
Snaps have emerged of Danielle and Pete hanging out together - with the soap actress and reality star looking very close indeed. And there are plenty of signs that the duo might be striking up more than a simple friendship.
Body language expert Judi James says: “The fact that Danielle and Pete make such a beautiful couple visually as well as displaying endearing personality traits recently shouldn’t really have fans picking their hats out for the wedding. Wishful thinking can lead to a bias but in these photos it does look as though their body language might be endorsing the story.”
Matt Hancock scraps his smartphone app in favour of TikTok - in 'blow' to fansJudi continued: “Walking together they look engaged in a positive convo and despite the fact she has her drink held up in a partial barrier, Danielle’s smile is sending approval vibes. The shot of them standing together looks a lot more convincing in terms of possible mutual attraction though. Their proximity looks telling and their heads look close enough for a kiss, plus Pete has his fag arm around Danielle’s back which is always a sign of interest and attention in TOWIE.”
After winning the show, Sam explained why Zara wasn’t able to join him Down Under as he gave Lorraine Kelly a debrief of his jungle experience on Monday morning. The 64-year-old host said: "Zara couldn't be there because she was doing Strictly Come Dancing, all the schedules didn't really work out, but I don't know if you've seen this. You should have seen her reaction and your family's reaction when you won. It was amazing!"
To which Sam sweetly said: "You know what, I've seen a clip but I haven't even properly turned my phone on yet but someone showed me and it made me cry! I was like that's all my nearest and dearest, all of my friends and colleagues all being in that room together.
"I've never had that amount of people support me or need to support me for anything. It's such an amazing feeling, quite overwhelming, I'm a very very very lucky person to have that around me!"
Later on the show, Lorraine had a sweet surprise message from Zara, who said she was so proud of her boyfriend. Zara proudly said: "Sam, I just want to say I don't think the word proud even cuts it anymore because the way you carried yourself in that jungle, the way you made everyone feel so comfortable.
"You brought such a sparkle to that camp. I've never met anyone like you before. You are so beautifully unique. And you are incredible and I love you literally so much. And I cannot wait to have you back right here. Yay." Sam was left touched by the message, sweetly saying: "I miss her so much and I can't wait to get home to her!"
