Oprah Winfrey treated fans to an online cocktail-making class and they couldn't get enough of her slim figure.
Ahead of the release of her buzzed-about film The Colour Purple, she decided to toast the occasion with a bespoke drink created in its honor. Taking to her socials, 69-year-old Winfrey posted a video of herself and her personal chef getting busy in the kitchen at her home in California.
And the US chat show host legend looked absolutely fabulous whilst doing so, wearing lush white loungewear and her trademark specs. “We have come up with our own Color Purple drink for the holiday season and for all your purple activities,” she began, holding up the tipple.

In the background, her chef listed the various ingredients, including apple juice, ginger, beetroot, lime, blue Curaçao, simple syrup and sparkling water. “Look at all the purpleness right there. You can now pour into a martini glass. You can add vodka, gin, tequila, whatever – or nothing,” Winfrey continued, pointing to her own ‘mocktail', adding with a smile: “Perfection!”
Harry's 'unwillingness to reconcile' claims rubbished after King's invite to himLast week the industry icon made all the right (ahem) mauves at the premiere of The Colour Purple in Los Angeles. She showed off her incredible figure in a bright purple floor-length gown, teamed with a matching glittery clutch bag and heels. On the carpet, she spoke about her weight loss and quipped that she’d enjoyed a workout before attending the glitzy event. “I was on the treadmill today,” she told Entertainment Tonight, before sharing how she achieved her physique: “It’s not one thing, it’s everything [and] I intend to keep it that way.”
Winfrey has previously said she was temped to take diabetes and weight-loss drug Ozempic, but ultimately decided against it. Speaking at her Oprah Daily’s The Life You Want Class: The State of Weight, she said: “Shouldn’t we all just be more accepting of whatever body you choose to be in? That should be your choice. Even I first started hearing about the weight-loss drugs, at the same time I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, ‘I’ve got to do this on my own.’ Because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out.”
Reflecting on her experience of being “shamed in the tabloids every week… for 25 years” over her body, Winfrey pondered: “It’s hard to see [yourself] ostracised in the way you’ve been, because this isn’t about willpower, it’s not your fault. It’s how our bodies regulate weight and each of us is different, each of us is unique, not one is superior to another. We’re just different and acting on those differences.”
Winfrey is a producer on the musical version of The Color Purple, starring Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brookes, and Halle Bailey, out on Christmas Day. She starred in the original 1985 film adaptation, directed by Steven Spielberg, and scored an Oscar nomination for her role as Sofia.
