MARSEILLE are reportedly lining up a move to sign Arsenal star Fabio Vieira.

The midfielder has featured 14 times this season under Mikel Arteta after finding his feet in England.

Vieira, 23, only joined Arsenal in the summer of 2022 in a £34million deal from Portuguese giants Porto.

However, he struggled to make an impression during his debut campaign in the Premier League.

Last season, the midfielder only featured 22 times in the league, scoring once and assisting two goals.

Despite already matching that tally this time around he has now been linked with a move away from North London.

French outlet Le 10 Sport has claimed that Marseille are keen on taking the attacking midfielder on loan in January.

The potential deal would see Vieira finish the season in France.

Marseille and Arsenal have a history of doing business together with the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, William Saliba and Nuno Tavares all moving between the clubs.

Saliba's spell at the Ligue 1 club helped him develop into one of the best young defenders in Europe.

Should Arsenal allow Vieira to leave on a similar deal they would be hoping for a similar result.

Meanwhile, Arteta has been keen on adding a midfielder to his squad in January.

Ruben Neves has been touted as a potential target, however it is thought that he would reject a move.

A transfer supercompter has also suggested that Brighton's Pervis Estupinan, Nice's Kephren Thuram and Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy would all be good targets for the Gunners.
