The Daytona has an interesting history after it was ordered by a man from Essex in 1970 before being quickly bought by a Scot.
After turning 21, Lord Alexander Hesketh bought the car in 1972 and owned the car for the next decade, becoming part of his playboy reputation.
It then lived in Japan for a while, before the restoration back in Southampton.
Eric Clapton then bought the car in 1990 and kept it as part of his Ferrari collection for another decade.
"At the time of its introduction in 1968 the Daytona was the most expensive production Ferrari ever and, with a top speed in excess of 170mph," Bonhams says.
It was also the world's fastest production car.
